How It Works
Step 1: Register
Registration is in-advance and online only. No other registration method will be offered (including paper mailers) and race registration will close at midnight on Friday, October 25th. You will not be able to register in the park the morning of the race.
Step 2: Start training
Keep an eye on our Facebook page and Instagram page for fitness tips and challenges all October long! Treehouse Books is getting in on the fun, too, with fun Halloween activities.
Step 3: Pick up your packet
All registrants will receive a bib, sponsor coupons, and giveaways. Virtual runners will also receive a crepe paper finish line, and their finisher’s medal for their virtual race celebrations. Youth registrants will receive a Monster Dash Fun Packet that includes activities, treats, and (bonus!) a free science kit or toy from Blue Marble. Stay tuned for more packet pickup information as the event gets closer, and keep an eye on your email!
Step 4: Arrive on race morning
On October 26th, please come to your starting line in Lithia Park in time for your race event.
Start/Finish Location: Just below the Band Shell in Lithia Park.
Start Times: 10k at 8:45am, 5k at 9:00am, 1-mile at 10:45am
See below for map and descriptions of race courses.
Step 5: Be courteous & safe
We will be asking all racers to:
- let the fastest runners line up in the front
- runners with strollers line up in the back
- run on the right side of the street
- please don’t bring pets to the race
Step 6: Enter this year’s MANY contests
All finishers will receive medals as they cross the finish line. Racers are also invited to enter our costume and video contests! Visit our Contests page for information about how this year’s contests will work. We’ve got lots of categories and prizes lined up for you, your family, your pets…don’t miss out!

In fact you don’t even have to run…you can just sign up for one of the run events in order to join us for the virtual Costume Contest! Please note that prizes will not be given for fastest race times to our virtual racers, but you can submit your race time to be eligible for prize drawings!
