How It Works
Step 1: Register
Registration is online only. No other registration method will be offered (including paper mailers) and race registration will close at midnight on Friday, October 24th.
Step 2: Start training
Keep an eye on our Facebook page and Instagram page for fitness tips and challenges all October long! Treehouse Books is getting in on the fun, too, with fun Halloween activities.
Step 3: Pick up your packet
All registrants will receive a bib, sponsor coupons, and giveaways. Virtual runners will also receive a crepe paper finish line, and their finisher’s medal for their virtual race celebrations. Youth registrants will receive a Monster Dash Fun Packet that includes activities, treats, and a small toy giveaway. Stay tuned for more packet pickup information as the event gets closer, and keep an eye on your email!
Step 4: Arrive on race morning
On October 25th, please come to your starting line in Lithia Park in time for your race event — early is best!
Start/Finish Location: Just below the Band Shell in Lithia Park.
Start Times: 10k at 8:45am, 5k at 9:00am, 1-mile at 10:45am
See below for map and descriptions of race courses.
Step 5: Be courteous & safe
We will be asking all racers to:
- let the fastest runners line up in the front
- runners with strollers line up in the back
- run on the right side of the street
- please don’t bring pets to the race
Step 6: Celebrate!
We really look forward to seeing you for the 2025 Monster Dash in Lithia Park! This year’s festivities will include a Monster Activity Village with FREE games, crafts, displays, music, and more! Follow our Facebook page for information about activity booths, costume inspiration, and updates.

For our virtual racers, it’s up to you to plan a frighteningly fun event! You’ll still register and run your distance, but you’ll choose the route, your starting time, and your festivities before, during, and after the race. Don’t worry, we’ve got lots of ideas!
Step 1: Register
Registration for the 1-mile, 5K, or 10K distances is open for Virtual runners through 11:59pm on Oct 31.
Don’t plan on running? That’s okay, too! You can walk, sprint, or creepy-crawl your distance. In fact you don’t even have to run…you can just sign up in order to support the event!
Step 2: Start training
Keep an eye on our Facebook page and Instagram page for fitness tips and challenges all October long.
Step 3: Pick up your packet
All virtual registrants will receive a bib, a crepe paper finish line, a finisher’s medal and fun giveaways. Youth registrants will also receive a Monster Dash Fun Packet.
We hope that you will pick up your packet if you’re in the Medford/Ashland area and are able to do so at one of our October 24-25 pickup events. Those who need their packet shipped have the option to note this during registration. If you need your packet earlier, please contact us through our website.
Step 4: Run your distance
Run or walk your 1-mile, 5k or 10k distance anytime between October 21st-31st. Choose your route, track your time, and have fun — it’s all up to you! You are welcome to run one of the Monster Dash courses through Lithia Park, except on race day morning when the area will be limited to in-person runners. Please remember that, as a virtual runner, no roads will be blocked off from traffic and no flaggers will be monitoring intersections. It’s up to you to stay safe on the road!
Step 5: Upload your time
Track your race time and upload it to the registration website starting on October 21st. If you forgot to record your time, you have the option click a button that states you finished the race, but did not time your run.
Please note that prizes will not be given for fastest race times to our virtual racers, but you can submit your race time to be eligible for prize drawings!
Step 6: Celebrate!
We hope you seize the opportunity to make the Virtual Monster Dash a memorable family, friend, or neighborhood affair. Follow our Facebook page for celebration ideas all October (get training tips, activities and more).
